Himawari Japanese Restaurant
Hello there Dear Readers,
Welcome back to my Blog !!!!π«π«π«
First of all, sorry for such a huge gap between my first post and now, the second. I was very much caught up with classes and exams. I finally have the time to review another one of my favourite hidden gem.
Hope you enjoy!
Himawari in Japanese means Sunflower. When we think of Sunflower, we imagine the bright Yellow petals that would bring a huge smile on our faces. Just like that, when I think of Himawari, it always brings a place of comfort for me.
This restaurant was honestly an incidental gem. I remember how it was a a public holiday and most shops that I wanted to go to for a meal, were closed, Himawari appeared in my search list. I was having multiple contemplations to visit this shop. After a long discussion, my friend and I finally decided to check this place out.
This restaurant is located at The Japan Club of KL located at Taman Seputeh. There are many classes conducted here like Japanese Language Courses, Martial Arts, etc. If you want to get to this restaurant, you would need to park outside the club. Register at the security by providing your driving license or IC. The guard will provide you a pass.
Do not worry if you are a first timer. The guards are very friendly and kind. They would guide you to the restaurant. From the guardhouse, you would need to head to the main lobby where you need to use the pass to enter and then take the lift to the first floor. The place might seem empty and low key abit creepy . (For those of you who fret horror movies, I would suggest bringing a company π)
The restaurant operates until 9.30 pm if I am not mistaken. I would suggest you to go early as the closing hours may differ since the priority of customers are mainly the club members. Hopefully, after the post, the restaurant will have longer closing hours to accommodate all of you.
Below are a few of the meals I had during my visits here:
Chicken kimbap is a suggestion for those who like some rice.
So sorry all huhu.
This is me trying the noodle heheπ This is me on a separate occasion to check out their Sushi. It was amazing. However it was not my top favourite as I am not a fan of Sushi hehe. As you can see my favourite roasted pork is there too. π
Besides the food, I highly love the ambiance of this restaurant as it gives off Japanese/Korean movie vibes. For those of you Jdrama and Kdrama fans, you should definitely check this place out. They even have separate cubicles with sliding doors and you can dine in seated on the wooden floor for private dinning with friends and family. This is however for bigger groups.
Unfortunately, this place is Non-Halal. ( Sorry Muslim Friendsπ’)
PS: Further down the walkway from the restaurant there is a mini art gallery that you should check out too. π
This is me being a work of art myself hahaπ
That's all from me Dear Readers. Until the next review! Adioss amigoss!π½
